Save the Fruit
If you dangle some foil from your fruit tree it will scare away birds, bird are scared of shiny things and will not bother your fruit trees again.
Protecting your Babies
In my garden I nurture my plants like crazy, while they are babies I wrap foil around the stem of the plant until it is strong enough to last on its own – Don’t wrap the foil too tight you want the truck to get nice and strong plus you wont want to disturb new roots.
Only feed the plant
Place aluminum foil, shiny side down, over the weedblock to create a barrier that will send virus-spreading aphids elsewhere. This stops slugs and bugs attacking your plant from the bottom up.
Stop the lean
If your plants are on a lean reaching for the light, then place some foil on the opposite side to the way they are leaning – this will reflect the light and they will start growing straight.
