This is a naughty treat but oh my goodness they are so amazing you will not be disappointed! When I first saw this recipe I though “sure sure, they aren’t really going to taste like donuts…” but they do, and they are incredible, and oh so simple!
Makes: 12
You will need the following for the cupcakes:
1 3/4 cup (all purpose) flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup vegetable or canola oil
3/4 cup white granulated sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
You will need the following for the sugar coating:
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup melted butter
Now to make the naught treats
- Combine dry ingredients
- Mix liquids in separate bowl.
- Add liquids to dry and combine together well, without over beating.
- Spoon mixture into prepared muffin tins.
- Bake at 180°C for 20-25 min.
- While muffins are baking prepare sugar topping by simply mixing the sugar & cinnamon together.
- While muffins are hot, dip into melted butter and roll into sugar & cinnamon mixture.
- Enjoy!
