You love your furry friend but when they are around you also get hit by a wall of allergies which can present as:
- Stuffy or runny nose
- Red, itchy eyes
- Coughing
- Excessive sneezing
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Here are a few ways to help mange these symptoms:
- Wash your hands after contact – Even if your hands are seemingly free of fur, a good scrub is still necessary.
- Have designated pet-free zones – The bedroom is usually the best place because you will be able to get a peaceful sleep.
- Make sure you stay on top of housework so the hair doesn’t hang around. Wash clothes with hot water as it helps eliminate anything hanging on. – Keeping the animal well groomed helps too.
