Bathrooms are always tricky, they are small, oddly shaped and yet they are such an important space in your house. Whether it be a simple makeover or you’re going all out by gutting and starting from scratch, if you are looking to redo your bathroom here are a few tips:
Create Flow
Ask yourself does this bathroom flow? Or is the toilet in the shower and the sink over the bath? No matter how small the room is it still needs to have flow. You want the sink easily accessible from the toilet – we all know some people need a gentle reminder to wash their hands and by having the sink easily accessible then some people won’t forget!
A classic colour scheme
We have all be into a house with green or orange tiles in the bathroom (or Kitchen) and gone what where these people thinking in the 60’s! Pick a colour scheme that is classic, simple and elegant this way the bathroom won’t ‘age’ and if you ever want to resell a good bathroom is a major selling point.
Keep it simple
Don’t over decorate, keep things simple. Once you have picked a colour scheme make sure you stick to it. If you have a beach theme then a few shells in a bowl look great or perhaps a simple pot plant or nice vase. Don’t over do it in the bathroom, clean and simple work a treat.
